so if anyone still happens to stumble across this blog these days, here's a piece of news: i'm in romania! only for a few more hours, though. bucharest has been the first stop on a 7 week, 6 country tour of the world of poverty that i'm on with about 13 other believers. we're seeing what work is being done by mission field personnel and other organizations to address issues of extreme poverty, and in romania we've been dealing with the Roma people - traditionally known as gypsies, who experience some pretty intense discrimination at all levels of Romanian society.
i wish i had time to go into more detail right now, but computer time is scarce. i also wish i could post more pictures from our journey thus far, but internet is slow. the ones i have been able to post are on my facebook page (see link on left-hand side of this page). and be sure to check out our group's blog, which we will be posting on every day we have internet access:http://cbfportal.wordpress.com/category/studentgo-mdg-team/.
love. jen
